Professor Shaina Roy invites you to shadow their Principles of Biology I course! Visiting this class is a great way to see for yourself what a college course is like in the Kennedy College of Sciences at UMass Lowell.

Principles of Biology I is a required course for all biology majors, and biology students take it in their first year at UML. It sets the foundation for many health professions programs (like medical, dental, physician assistant and more). In this course we learn about the basic principles of cell and molecular biology, including the processes by which genes are transcribed and translated into functional protein units. We also dive into the underlying principles of inheritance and genetics, which is by far the student “fan favorite” unit!

Following the class, Professor Roy would love to meet with you and your guest to introduce you to the Biology Department and answer your questions.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
